Abstract
Alcohols and trimethylsilyl and tetrahydropyranyl ethers are eciently oxidized to their
corresponding carbonyl compounds, using Fe(NO3)3.9H2O, in the presence of KBr, under mild
and completely heterogeneous reaction conditions, with good to high yields.
