Abstract

A Sixth-Order Generalized Integrator (SiOGI) with a Frequency-Locked Loop (FLL) control system is simulated in this paper. The proposed SiOGI-FLL addresses Power Quality (PQ) challenges by integrating nonlinear loads to remove power quality issues under Direct Current (DC) offset, grid harmonics, and unbalanced grid conditions. The developed SiOGI-FLL tackles power quality problems associated with renewable energy integration with the grid. The SiOGI-FLL system offers enhanced frequency tracking and precise phase detection, which helps maintain accurate synchronization with the grid. The proposed system can efficiently improve PQ issues and ensure seamless integration of Renewable Energy Sources (RESs) by utilising advanced control techniques. To evaluate the performance of the proposed SiOGI-FLL, extensive simulation studies are conducted under various operating conditions, such as DC offset, unbalanced grid, and grid harmonic scenarios with Linear Load (LL), Non-Linear Load (NLL), and UnBalanced Loads (UBL). The simulation results demonstrate the superior capabilities of the SiOGI-FLL control scheme.
