Abstract

The wieldy used hydro-desulfurization catalysts for the treatment of petroleum products are Co (Ni) Mo / ɣ-Al2O3. In this research, optimized hydro-desulfurization catalyst synthesis was done based on design parameters of molybdenum content, Co/Mo and Urea/Co ratio using the Response Surface Methodology (RSM), at the first step. The optimum catalyst was decreased sulfur content of the Gas Condensate from 2200 to 19 ppm. In the next step, by using the efficient catalyst, operating conditions were optimized at temperature range, 320-340 °C; reactor pressure, 30-40 Bar; liquid hourly space velocity (LHSV), 2-3 h-1; and hydrogen/oil ratio, 150 to 250 ml/ml. The sulfur content of the product reached to 8 ppm wt under optimal operating conditions by using the synthesized catalyst. Then, effect of the presence of Di-Sulfide Oil compounds in Gas Condensate was investigated and 8 ppmwt sulfur content of Gas Condensate containing Di Sulfide Oil achieved using the synthesized catalyst with 18% molybdenum oxide and Co/Mo = 0.48 and Urea/Co = 5 at optimum operating conditions.
