The problem is solved by applying Eulerian equations with mapping technique over a horizontal bottom considering unsteady, incompressible flow with free surface. The proposed model has been used to simulate a two-dimensional problem of the collapse of a water column inside a rectangular tank. A new mapping was developed to transform the governing equations from the physical domain to a computational domain. It is shown that the model predictions of the changes of wave profile and the free surface elevation of water.
